City of Light Jyväskylä

The next City of Light event takes place at the end of September 2024.

The City of Light organises a wide range of light-themed events, the best known of which is the City of Light event in autumn. An important part of the autumn lighting event has been the City of Light seminar for lighting professionals.

Lighting sites are an important part of Jyväskylä's cityscape. They support the earlier architectural design and during the twilight hours, they serve to highlight interesting details of the area. There are already more than a hundred permanent lighting destinations in Jyväskylä.

Coordinated by the City of Jyväskylä, the City of Light is responsible for the city's nightscape and constantly aims to use the latest lighting technology in the city's infrastructure. Above all, the aim is to create a safe, comfortable and energy-saving environment for Jyväskylä's residents, businesses and visitors.
